Raindrops on Roses~
And Some of
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things.
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites, when the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

ReplyDeleteOh Nancy, what a lovely post this is. These are a few of my favorite things too......raindrops on roses, silver tea sets, and pretty tea cups, and I really like the picture of the girls. It reminds me of my own grown daughters. Thank you for visiting and following Red Rose Alley. I was reading on your side bar a little about you, and we have so many of the same interests (but no grandchildren yet). It's so nice to meet new friends, and have a sweet day.
