Great idea, Nancy. Hibiscus is David's favorite flower. Later in the day I'll be able to sit at this table and see David's hibiscus through my patio windows. Now I will really appreciate them, knowing the meaning of them.

Hi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteThis would be a perfect post for Fresh-cut Friday! :) That is a great idea to include a card with the meaning. I love Hibiscus. They actually grow really well here in Phoenix.
Have a great weekend!

Nancy, I love hibiscus. I don't have my blog in my blog roll so I don't know if that has happened or not. Thanks for the comment and have a great day.

Simply lovely and such a good idea to include the meaning of the flowers you send!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy!
ReplyDeleteOh beautiful! and I love the idea of adding the meaning of the flowers in the card.
Love the hibiscus! I want pink one in my new landscape. Very tropical, they grow well at the beach.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty that is going to be!! My mom bought me one last year and I was surprised that it survived our winter. We all fell in love with them!
ReplyDelete"It is SO beautiful Nancy"!!! I LOVE waiting for the first bud to open! Where are you located? Is this a tropical variety? Or a hardy one??? You MUST post a picture of it open for us too!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Donna
Exciting and fun! They are beginning to wind down here-enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI so love seeing the unfolding of a bud. Plants and flowers and herbs have so many meanings. Victorians used this a lot to send messages of love. I use them to create memorial gardens for loved ones.

What a pretty bud ready to sprout into a lovely flower.
ReplyDeleteI think that's a wonderful idea to include the meaning of the flower.

ReplyDeleteHowdy Nancy
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh this is so beautiful.
I know we are not to covet our neighbors flowers ,but I have been photographing our neighbors gorgeous Hibiscus for the past three years.
I finally talked him in to letting it grow over the fence between us :)
It is truly a fantastic flower .
Thank you so much for sharing your post today !
Blessings to you and yours
Until Next Time
Happy Trails
It's incredibly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty...you'll have to show us more as it blooms!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy- I love hibiscus too-we can't grow them here except as hot-house plants. I love seeing them all over the place when we go to Florida! When I lived there we used to have them all along our fence line.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to include the meaning along with the flower. Perfect! Diana
Beautiful, Nancy. I just bought some botanical prints with flowers and their meanings...I never knew such a thing! I like your idea of putting their meaning on the gift card. Beautiful photos!!

I see you are an Austinite! I just moved from Austin to Florida after living there for 17 years. I still have one daughter and two grandsons there.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you know my Austin friend Julie, who has the blog Midlife Jobhunter (http://midlifejobhunter.blogspot.com). You look so much like her in your photo!
Beautiful flowers and your dining table layout from the previous post is gorgeous.
Hope you're staying cool out there.
Congratulations on your blossom and what a great suggestion to share the meaning of the flower.
ReplyDeleteNancy, it is beautiful. The deer ate all of my blossoms but they were pretty. Happy Sunday! hugs♥olive
