Freshly Harvested Hues...Coming Soon.

Yes!

I love Spring and Summer, the flowers are stunning.

I love their brilliant colors.

But, I am ready for these warm colors...

In less than a month, Autumn will be here...

-Yes, I'm from Texas.

-It does arrive a bit later here. Okay, much later.

-Then sometimes, we might miss it entirely.

-We have friends, they live so far north, they don't have much of a summer. I am sorry.

-Move to Texas, you'll get your fill.

-Anyhow, I am eager for it's arrival.

-Yes, I have lived where the seasons are definite.

-I am very eager.

So, what are your feelings?
Are  you ready?

  2. Hi Nancy, I am ready, I am beyond ready:) It has been the hottest, most miserable summer with the heat but a little cooler now!

Ya know, I had the same problem with the blogroll recently. It is so frustrating. Your blog DID show up in my sidebar this morning. When mine was messed up, you have to be a follower of yourself... weird I know! I would UN-follow myself and follow myself until my blog showed up:) Worked sometimes and sometimes it didn't.

Have a blessed and hopefully much cooler day! HUGS!

  10. It was 67 degrees here last night and I slept with the windows open. It feels just fallish today. I am ready for it to stay that way and for fall colors just like you Nancy. hugs♥olive

  11. I am SO ready for fall, too! We definitely "enjoy" all four seasons here, but fall has been my favorite for many years! And this summer has been miserably hot and humid. In fact, I just bought some gorgeous fall decor items and candles at Hobby Lobby on Saturday! :D

  13. I am anxious for Fall but always do a bit of mourning for Summer. It seems there are so many things I wanted to do, planned to do, hoped to do, that never got accomplished. That being said, Fall is my favorite season of all. I could live with Fall weather year round..but always have a bit of dread because I know it is the precursor to Old Man Winter...and OMW is NOT pretty here in WI! Diana

  14. Fall is my FAVORITE time of year :) I am really ready for it, but on the flip side, winter comes after, and I am not ready for that just yet. Reckon I'll just wait....

  20. Hi there, I too absolutely love fall but it also means winter is right around the corner and since my man dislikes/hates winter here I guess I want summer to hang a bit longer. Plus if I leave all my harvest decorations out to long I get very tired of them.
We've had cooler nights and mornings and I think we'll see signs of fall soon.
    Hugs, Noreen

  21. I so agree with one comment from above. I am ready-more than ready-for fall. It has been so %(#$*&#@()# hot here. One of the best things about living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia is that we get all four seasons. And all four are lovely here.

  22. Even in Wisconsin we had a really hot summer this year. In fact, this past weekend was in the 90's again and quite humid. I love autumn too but then I know what's coming and we have long, cold, snowy winters. I actually don't mind the snow, it's prettier than bare ground but when it gets really cold I don't like that.
    Take Care,
    Cindy

  23. Thank you for the comment on my blog. I had a great time with my two year old Mason. But tired!!! We pushed home last night because a 91 year old mother in law is in hospital. Today we are SO brain dead..and still hot. 99 hear today and now some take cover weather not far from us! Well I am so ready for autumn! Today when I went to post office to restart our mail service, I saw new mums unloaded at Lowe's. Too tired for groceries, too tired to cook or think, but I was not too tired to drag home a couple of hardy mums...the first sign of autumn for me! Hope you can find some there in Texas until real autumn arrives....

  24. Do you really think fall will be here in a month? I'm melting. Hopefully the 100's are gone, although too many years spent in the cold have made me not a fan of that either. I love bare feet.

  25. I'm a four season gal but live in AZ so my fall season is probably like yours...if we have one. I have to do all the fall decor inside so at least I have somewhere to pretend it is fall. Plus we usually have to make a trip up north so I can see fall leaves...I really miss the mountains covered with brillant fall leaves. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  26. Hi Nancy...

My friend, I know just how you feel! I'm in Colorado now but before coming here, I lived 30 yrs. in south Texas. We really never had autumn there. That is one of the things that I love best about Colorado...seasons! Hehe! I also love the vibrant color of summer but my heart really does belong to the beautiful autumnal colors! I have just begun to pull out my autumn decor...oooh, what fun!

Thank you so much for coming by and taking a peek at my Summer's Tea on the Veranda! I really enjoyed your visit and sweet note! Thank you, Nancy!!!

Have a wonderful Wednesday, my friend!
