What is more exciting and heartwarming than watching your 9 year old
granddaughter at her dance recital?
It was a one of a kind-two nights in a row
kind of evening dancing on the Main Stage at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion. A
stage that the likes of The Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet and
Houston Grand Opera - as well as popular touring artists such as Frank Sinatra,
Bette Midler, Jimmy Buffett, Tina Turner, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Sting, Clint
Black, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Linkin Park, Aerosmith, John Mayer, the Dave
Matthews Band, Gwen Stefani and Cher, among others.
And yes, there was "our little dancer" and dancing in four dances. Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop! The entire year of preparing for these two nights in May...what a grand performance! She was amazing in each dance!
I see her dance with such beauty and grace... pinch me please! Yes, Nana is gushing. Is this the little one we watched several years back
when she started dancing? The sweet little ballerina, the one who would turn, catch your eye, oh and then you see that precious little smile, melts your heart like nothing
else!
Oh and the teeny tiny wave! Be still my heart!
How does one put a into words the pride of seeing this sweetheart doing
what she loves best! Dancing is in her heart! She radiates when she is dances!
Little sister is so proud of her too!
Oh her Aunt is so very proud of!
Aunts and Uncles were all there...still receiving pictures and will update`-

Our sweet dancer has such a Mommy, Daddy, Brother and Sister! Yes, they watch every dance! And hold flowers for her too~
She smiled all weekend...like her Mommy, my daughter!
Her Mommy, oh her eyes just glistened with pride and that smile was on her face the entire time too!
She can tap like Ginger Rogers, she ballet dances with a ballerina's passion, has her jazz moves down pat and oh my, she can hip hop like crazy!
I think ( Yes, I do, Nana knows) she truly hears her heart speak when she dances! Oh my, she has such poise and grace and can hold her own on stage. God has blessed her with great rhythm, the love for dance and oh what a happy girl when she's dancing! Did I mention that she has been the best little choreographer since she was able to walk and talk. I do believe this little dancer will have her own studio one day, will dance on Broadway and we will see her name in lights!
I'm proud of our little dancer!
Hope you are all having a great day!

What a precious smile she has. I so admire ballerinas. Such talent and graciousness. She is poised for great things!

So precious! Gosh....this sure takes me back! Our daughter did ballet tap and clogging then gave up dancing for competitive baton twirling and school majorette...her dream was to twirl fire! So she hung up her dancing shoes for batons!
