Hello sweet friends!
Today I'm going to post one one of my favorite old posts from August 2010!
Some of you may remember it~
Vintage...Antique or Just Old?
Can you believe that my California Pottery is listed as "Vintage?"
Surely I haven't had my favorite pottery that long.
Good thing they don't call it junk.
I know that Vintage is not as old as "Antique", but still!
Vi-Viiii- Vintage?
Makes me shudder to think it's that old...
I have been around a lot longer...yikes.
Anyhow, here's a little Vintage "Pottery Show" for you...
My one and only favorite rooster will take the lead!
Poor thing, he missed the "Big Rooster Party."
Shhh...don't talk about it, he's got big ears.
He would not forgive me if he knew.
Just could not make it, but he would never understand.
He's been with me for so long, really like him.
I call him a "Silly Goose!"
He hates it when I call him a goose...
He does not like me talking about my other pieces. He gripes when I have them join a party.
Any of you have a spoiled rotten rooster?
I love this reliable casserole dish, never grumbles.
This one is very stable and always cooperative and never has a beef.
This one loves parties! Sulks and literally wilts if not invited.
This dish does not come out often, oh, just a little devil.
This one prefers veggies, in hysterics if something hustles to be scooped in that is not a fresh green. (moody is an understatement)
Ahhh, this little number, position of prominence. goes insane if butter is banned.
Oh, holds a weighty position around here, candy keeper.
Oh goodness, what a big ego!
Now, these just sit around quite a bit. Now, if it's rumored that the one on the right is passed around more often, oh our little counterpart, starts to snare and gets cross, sure causes some pretty spicy peppery talk,
Sometimes they like being together, they take a peek at one another, they gaze in awe at their loveliness.
I do have some other personable pieces of this Vintage Pottery, but when they got wind that they were being called "Old" and "Vintage," not interested in coming out to play.
Midlife crises has set in with them, moody little things!
You know, I bet they will perk up one day when they are called
"Antique!"
Psst, you know what? I have always called my chicken a rooster! Poor thing is so confused since I call it a silly goose too! Shh...don't want our family chicken to hear this!
Hope you are all having a great day!
