Good morning!
I do love this shot I got of this beautiful cardinal!
I dressed him up and framed him!
I have heard and read that spotting a cheerful red cardinal means that a family member or friend is safe and happy, even if they are far away!
That never resonated with me until after Mke passed away!
What do I do now when I see one?
Oh my, I'm so excited and start blabbering away! I miss talking to him so much! I know anyone within hearing distance knows that crazy lady is talking to herself again!
Do I feel crazy talking to a bird?
Yes!! But, I just keep taking it away! He knows me well!
What are your thoughts when you see a cardinal?
Nancy

Oh, wow!
ReplyDeleteOh Nancy, your post was heartwarming to me, as it has always been a dream of mine to see the Red Cardinal. I see them on my friends' blogs from time to time, but I don't see them here in California. I'm so glad one visited you the other day. That's interesting what you heard about the Cardinal and a family member being safe and happy. I do believe in signs, especially in nature, where all things are good. Yes, I think I would frame that Red Cardinal photo you took, it's a beautiful reminder of your husband.

I've not heard of that but if I was by myself I'm sure I would converse with the birds! I love this pretty cardinal and happy that you are doing well!
ReplyDeleteI often talk to birds! I've been known to whistle along with their song! Crazy at may seem to others, I'm happy to have their company...cardinal or ANY bird.
ReplyDeleteAs far as seeing a cardinal, I'm joyful. But, I must be honest and didn't know the adage until I read it here.
Talk away my friend. It's therapeutic..
I do the same thing. Once there were two male cardinals and one female that were out in the tree in my front yard. I figured the female was my mother but I couldn't decide if the males were my husband, father, brother. I figured it had to be 2 of the three. It seems to me that I see more cardinals now than I ever used to before.
ReplyDeleteI agree when you see a cardinal it means a family member that is passed is ok and letting you know. I am so happy you got a nice message from your sweet hubby. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAnd he is literally posing for you.
ReplyDeleteI love the cardinal too Nancy and yes, I do have heard that saying for years. It warms my heart to think that is true too. I love your picture you captured. How sweet. Happy June. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
