Hello my friends,
I'm back after a about 10 days or more due to an awful stiff neck.
(Oh, and I'm having so much trouble with blogger. Fonts not changing when I when I change and update. Anyone else having issues?)
Anyhow, painful stupor for about a week. Everything I read said that it
would go away, just to take Advil. Ended up at the Urgent Care Center. :(
They
looked at me. I cracked a smile. Thank God, I remembered to put my front tooth
in. I'm in the middle of a front tooth implant.
Don't ask. Okay, when I was a kid, I was roller skating down the sidewalk and Mr. Ireland's truck bumper got in my way.

Nurse
took my BP. It was a tad bit high. No worries, my pacemaker was just checked.
Get this, I asked if they could x-ray my neck. Doctor said, "No!" She left the room.
Nurse came in, he gave me a shot for pain.
Oh great, a prescription for a muscle relaxant.
My
diagnosis, Tension Headache.
My thinking, fracture, broken neck, nothing could be that painful and just be tension. Oh well, what do I know.

$500.00 for tension
headache.
Oh,
my sweet pharmacist. After reading the prescriptions, she knew why I could not
look at her.
She
looked at the prescriptions. First words out of her mouth...
"Mrs.
Comer, you need a vacation!"
That
one chair is waiting for me~

Oh sweet Nancy, bless your heart. I know all about those stiff necks! Me and all three of my daughters has issues from time to time. My oldest daughter especially. I am so sorry and praying right now that you are on the mends totally. But there is always something to be thankful for....PRAISE THE LORD YOU HAVE YOUR TOOTH IN! LOL! And who can take vacation after you spend that kind of money right? Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHello Nancy, I have stiff neck too but I was told I have arthritis. I hope your headache is gone now, they are awful. I do think that beach chair is waiting for you. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteRest. It's good for us!
ReplyDeleteI agree, a vacation will make you feel better:) Hope you are feeling better dear Nancy, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteA stiff neck is just miserable. I hope you are feeling better. A vacation does sound like good medicine.
ReplyDeleteMakes one long for the good ol' days when nothing was wrong..I hear you re teeth and neck.
ReplyDeleteRest..get well soon:)
Yes, you do need a vacation, and sweetheart...doesn't it really make you crazy when you could have used your 500 dollars for plane ticket. Blast. Nancy, you know darn good and well dental problems make me insane. LOL. For the money in my mouth I should be wearing some drop dead gorgeous dentures...but no I have all these crowns , root canals and filling....and still have dental issues. I go every 6 months for cleanings and x-rays. LOL...could you get tickets for two and call me.?? I think I could use a vacation too. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your neck Nancy. Mine bothers me a lot because I was in a car accident and got a whip lash. Have you ever had one, maybe that is what is bothering you. When your neck gets stiff you tense up and it only makes things worst. So relax and take a few days off at the beach.
ReplyDeleteHope your neck is better, when that's off you feel miserable. Take care.
Before you hit the chair, get a massage, a nice long deep tissue massage. Then after you are all loosey goosey plant yourself in that chair and melt away. Hope you feel better! Have a nice long weekend.
ReplyDeleteOoh that's no fun. So sorry for you. My mom used to get headaches that put her in bed for 2 days...turned out it was from hormone replacement (estrogen). She finally quit taking them and they went away. I love my chiropractor and would probably have gone into him for something like this. I hope you are feeling better and planning that vacation!
ReplyDeleteOh no, a stiff neck is awful! Ugh! I hope you are feeling better and get to sit in that chair!!!!
ReplyDeleteNancy, please take care of yourself and get some rest, sweet lady! I am sitting in one of those chairs this week and it is grand! Blessings, Pam @ Everyday Living
ReplyDeletei hear ya! Meds for everything whether we want them or not. I hope a vacation helps a lot, Nancy!! Wish I were going with you!!! :-D

I hope you are feeling better, Nancy! My husband suffered from a painful, stiff neck and found out he had arthritis in his cervical spine. The doctor told him almost everyone get arthritis in the spine with age but some hurt more than others. He had to sleep on his back with a cylindrical pillow under his neck to support his neck and after a few months of doing that his pain subsided and never came back. Now he can sleep any way he wishes
ReplyDeleteI have a headache too . . .
ReplyDeleteMay I join you?
Seriously . . . get some "stress release, relaxation, fun in the sun!"
Be well my friend . . .
Run to that vacation chair!!
ReplyDeleteDoes it still hurt?
We need to find our comfort zone!
Poor Nancy! I can totally relate. I get stiff necks and I do have some arthritis, but I also believe tension causes a lot of it for me. I love my chiropractor, too, like Liz above said, and I actually LOVE getting my neck "cracked!" Take care of yourself...I would love to join you on your vacation, too....my life has been quite stressful for about.....a year and a half?! More so just the past couple of months...but I sure do need a getaway! Sending you hugs!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are feeling much better, stiff necks and headaches are for the birds....
ReplyDeleteI've been having lots of trouble with Blogger, no updating in my readers list I've tried to address the issue as it is happening with other Bloggers...but sadly no help.

Oh dear, I hope you are feeling better now Nancy. I think the cost of the visit to the clinic would give me a tension headache! Wow. I'm so thankful for Medicare here in Canada. I haven't noticed an issue with fonts in blogger. I hope it is cleared up. Take care of yourself. Pam
ReplyDeleteEeeh... So sorry about the tension headache.. So painful. Hope your feeling better.
