Hospitality comes from the heart!
It's giving of oneself, isn't it?
And fun!
I love to create a warm and welcoming spot for my family and friends to completely feel at ease.
Do you find it fun getting ready for a dinner party?
I just love all of these wonderful colors, they make me happy!

Nancy, I do like to have my sisters in for lunch. I don't do dinner parties any more. We usually let the grown kids do that...we just help out. I loved your dishes. I also looked at the previous post I had missed...your kids are so cute. I loved all the wonderful pictures. You are blessed with all those sweethearts who love you, I am sure. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Saw those bacon wrapped peppers (?) and your table is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI do think it's fun getting ready for a dinner party. It's just in the past few years that I've discovered how happy it makes me to set a pretty table. :) That steak and salad looks scrumptious and your table is beautifully set!
ReplyDeleteI too put just about everything from the fridge [fresh veggies] in my salads. Sometimes when it's just the two of us, I add a boiled egg and cheese and make it a meal with crusty bread.
ReplyDeleteLove your dinnerscaping. Beautiful.
PS....Our son, in Houston, says that highway six is still under water....how is your area?
DeleteYour table looks wonderful, so festive, love the colors. The steak looks good, now what's for dessert?
ReplyDeleteI love to put a lot of stuff in my salads too.
Have a great week.
Mary
The colors on your table are so festive, and I love the sunflowers you used as the centerpiece...they always make me smile! The food you prepared looks delish! You are a wonderful hostess, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!

We haven't entertained for some time but I did enjoy creating a welcoming table as you have. You have described the kind of salad I make as well, full of whatever veggies I find in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteNancy, what a beautiful table and the steak and salad look delicious. I would be glad to pull out a chair and join you for dinner! Pam @ Everyday Living
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful and the dinner looks delicious! Would love to be a guest at your table anytime, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteDearest Nancy, HELLO!!!!! DO YOU KNOW that I was just thinking of you a few days ago? It's been months, maybe over a year since we "have seen" each other, then I go to my blog and I see your dear comment! HELLO!
ReplyDeleteI love your sunflowers! What better way to celebrate sunshine, laughter and outdoor activities than sunflowers! I had some last year in a vase, then when they became spent, I put them out in the sun for a day or two. The result was a gorgeous display of dried sunflowers. I am doing it again this year for another photo shoot!
Enjoy your day and thank you for visiting!
Hi Nancy! What a beautiful table and your mosaic patterned dishes are so pretty! Now, look at that delicious food! I'm sure you were enjoying it. Now I'm hungry! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh my goodness I just adore your tablescape Nancy! My motherinlove would have loved to have seen your beautiful sunflowers as she loved them so. The food looks wonderful! Girl...your family and friends should be overjoyed with your precious hospitality. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI love that mosaic design! I don't entertain as much as I used to but we keep things casual here in Florida and usually eat outside. You've made everything so beautiful. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteYour table is so cheerful with the sunflowers. And the steaks look delicious. I always admire the furniture in your home, it's the traditional dark furniture, which I love most. You have great taste, Nancy.
