These cute little munchkins have been over to see Nana and Pop quite a bit lately and we have all been having a blast! I even got in the pool and yes, got my hair wet! Woo hoo, go Nana! We have been playing games, Twister, Sorry, Spot It, Checkers, Chinese Checkers, Battle, working on puzzles, swimming, painting, racing cars, oh you name it.
It's amazing how fast these kids grow in just one year.
This little guy is ready for Kindergarten!
Now, how can this be?
He was just born.
Another note...
Okay, is it just me or is anyone else drawn to little books with a quick guide to just about anything? I've been in and out of Barnes and Noble so much recently, shoot, I won't kid myself, I love book stores! I'm there quite a bit.
I love their puzzles and, ahem.....little books....
Barnes and Noble is a place I could spend hours in, yes and even in book sections at grocery stores! That's me with the loaded huge grocery basket in that tiny little isle bothering you!
My latest find...
Seriously, Nancy, home Organizing??
May be a little to late for you dear!
I bought this little book last week.
It's always the word, QUICK and LITTLE that draws me in!
I'm not terribly organized, but I'm not terribly disorganized!
This is the deal. I just love little things, little books, grandchildren, babies, boxes, cups, puppies, kittens, baubles, you know what I mean.
Okay, back to the little book. I did flip through the pages, yes and break neck speed, I wanted to find out how this getting organized fast would work! I know I'd like to make things less complicated, wave a wand, poof everything is done in a flash and of course organized. Not so fast, is seems with this book. There's work. Who knew?? Oh shoot, the quick just went out my window!
Well, I will share a few tips that caught my attention. I was wanting the fairy godmother to show up. Didn't happen. She's been out to lunch way to often! What's up with that?
Ready? Organizing Magic:
SLASH WORK WITH FEWER STEPS-
Oh really? So organized people keep things neat as they go?
I get that.
Well, I do know someone that pours a cup of coffee, she tears open the sweetener packet while it's dripping in cup, throws away packet while her foot is opening the trash can lid. In one motion she grabs creamer, without putting the jar down, puts it away in cabinet and stirs while it's dripping out into her cup! No mess, no work and at lightening speed. True. Know her well.
Tips.
Tip: Make the bed when you get out of it.
I do that, do you?
Tip: Clean kitchen as you go and before you sit down to eat.
Humm, most of the time. Unless I'm having a glass of wine and have thrown the old organizing out the window! Just going with the flow...listening to music, doing the happy dance while cooking.
Do you ever do that?
Tip: Put all make up, cleansing, moisturizers, brush, comb, hairspray, toothbrush, toothpaste and all away before leaving room.
Of course!
BETTER TO KEEP UP THAN CATCH UP!!
Oh, I get that.
I think I'm doing pretty good. Now the book goes on a shelf, did I even read the entire book? No! I just buy them and flip through them backwards!
Do you ever do that?
Want to see a few of the other little books that I love? I'll show you anyway! Really, check them out, they are little little, cute, easy to hold, sweet and a good read.
No, I'm not advertising for anyone, just a little post about
my crazy little thing about little books!
Seriously, this is not all of them.
Do I need little book rehab? Nah, I'm good. No big worry.
I'm okay. just love to read and like it to be quick read!
I'm into reading on my kindle,
that is even little and quick!
Great day to all~

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Grandchildren of yours. Mine are all grown up. I cant believe it.
ReplyDeleteI do not own a kindle but I hear more people are buying them. I guess like everything else. All have different prices.
I would like one. So perhaps I put it on my Christmas list. Ha-ha. For next year.
I just read on the weekend. I am Malala. What a brave young lady.
Oh I love, love books all sizes shapes, colors, the smell , the feel of them so I really understand where you are coming from. Library Science is my minor and then I even worked in Barnes and Noble for years!
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest little grands and isn't Summer the best time ever to give them "sugar!"
Happy Tuesday,
Jemma
How fun, Nancy. Isn't summer the best when you can enjoy carefree days and have fun with precious grandchildren…so many great books - you have quite the collection!
ReplyDeleteYou love little things...I get that. :)
ReplyDeleteI adore little children, and books, and little decorations too. I haven't read many of the books you've featured except The Power of Positive Thinking.
Hi Nancy, I love many of the books you are sharing here! I also love the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Great post, thank you so much for sharing. :)

ReplyDeleteI do most of those things but if I took the time to read all those books I'd have no time to do all the things they want you to do...
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute, and funny. Don't read 'em. Just buy them, flip through them backwards, and put them on a shelf. -gigggles-
ReplyDeleteReally, I have never heard of doing this!
Gotta' love 'Pretty Blog Land.' Can find something new, at any turn.
