Good Morning!
Well, it's Dark Thirty and I'm up having my coffee. I'm really thinking I'll head outside in a bit and catch a sunrise shot. Hope I don't miss it, I'll plan on it and before I know it, it's up and no pictures. Think I'll just set my alarm. What would I do without my iphone alarm? Do you all use it often? I'm always setting alarms and making lists!
I'll show you a couple of collages I just worked on. When I get up early, it's play time. Nothing else. Coffee and camera and reading blogs.
This little guy is trying to hide from me! He's like, hey will you just leave me alone!
My favorite is the red hibiscus.
Yours?
Yours?
Here's my daddy. He left for heaven 5 years ago on April 30th.
I was his only daughter. He was my knight in shining armor. My three brothers and I were blessed. He was a grand man, he loved us and we knew it. He practiced law until he was in his mid 80's.
He was a rancher all of his life.
I miss him so much.
I know he's watching down from his window in heaven - smiling that special smile.
NO offers. We did get a little shock around 10:30 Saturday morning. I had one of those dark thirty morning wake ups and I was taking a teeny tiny nap in Mr. Notes easy chair when I heard the jingle of the front door lock, oh my gosh! I was up and running to the front door as a, get this, a Realtor walks in with a buyer! Gasp!! That's a sweet way of putting it. Thank goodness, I was planning on someone seeing the house, I just was. Of course someone has a plan on seeing our house! Well, the kind and embarrassed Realtor was mortified that I didn't get the text alerting me of the showing. Ha, she was mortified? I was too! I did show some restraint, I was totally cool and calm. I told them to head out to the pool area while I literally shouted at and at the top of my lungs to Mr. Notes that we had someone here to see the house. He's not one bit quick acting...sigh.
We had quite a number of cars drive by and stop. Why is it that I'm lurking out the windows always checking to see what color, make and model number their car is and how old they are? I then follow the car around while going from window to window. Crazed again. This selling of a home is driving me silly. If I have to tell my dear sweetheart of a husband to put his toothbrush and mouthwash away again, I'm going to whack him upside the haid! I mean really, that is the only thing he has to do.
Sunday afternoon our daughter and grands came over. You know that an 8,6 and 4 year old love baking cookies, right? Well, they were key lime pie flavored and have to say, mighty tasty. Have you played the game Sorry with and 8, 6, and 4 year old? New meaning to sibling rivalry. I asked them to stay for dinner and son in law joined us after his golf game. We had Macaroni Grill's yummy Chicken Alfredo along with a Caesar Salad. Yep, I made it easy, ordered in. It was delicious.
Oh my gosh, did I tell you all that I started Jenny Craig? Shh, I've read we don't talk dieting in blogland. Well, I've only been on it a couple of weeks, trying to lose some of the weight I've gained since the November treatments started. You know this prednisone gig makes me have an appetite that would only be had by one that had just plowed the north forty! OMG. I'm famished all the time. So, I'll take care of that, just get some planned meals, right? Well, it's working, but not fast enough for me. My cheeks are mighty full looking.
Well, goodness, it's still just 6:13. Think I'll have another cup of coffee. I just love my Keurig! I love the choices of coffee I have. It's the little things, right?
Well, I hope you all have a delightful Monday and week~ xo

ReplyDeleteI like your Dark Thirty posts! Red Hibiscus gets a vote every time.
ReplyDeleteYour daddy looks squeezable . . . I agree, wonderful smile . . . something to be said about having great relationships with our fathers . . . (Mine was top notch!)
You had me in giggles from the moment of the surprise key turning the lock to escorting the Owner Realtor out the door!
Great post Nancy . . .
What a fun post! I can just imagine having a Realtor just walk in! YIKES! Fingers crossed you get an offer soon. I am exhausted and it's on 9am! So much to be done here and today a mountain of trash for the curb pickup! One week and a take R&R and go home for two weeks!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda

The funny stories I could write..and the not so funnes as you know..
I don't have an Iphone..I have a vintage phone that does nothing..but I hardly use it..emerg only..
I have known people on Prednisone and sleepless in QC happens too..do you think that's one of the reasons you are up so early?
I should talk.. I am so stubborn though I lie there till I see light..7 ish.
I hate the thought of getting up in the dark:)
All your flowers are lovely..
On another note..got goosebumps at your dad..I just prepared a post about my mom..so it was bittersweet to see your dad.
On a very materialistic note..I love your ruffled blouse:)And one of my son-in-laws would lovethat yellow shark shirt..in FL..

Nancy, I am up EVERY morning at Dark Thirty...Saturday, Sunday...you name it. No alarm needed for this chick...sometime I wish I could find that internal body clock and smash it! Actually, I am glad that I naturally get up early...it is always my favorite time of day. I would have surely died myself or killed someone else if there was someone at my door to see my house! You handled it wonderfully! Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteYour flower collages are beautiful Nancy! Sounds like you had a busy weekend...my fingers are crossed you have a quick sale!! My hubby would have done the same thing lol!!
ReplyDeleteI hope some of the people that looked at the house will keep thinking about it until they can't resist making an offer...I hope soon! Sounds like a crazy weekend! Hope you have a good week! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeletePS I honestly cannot remember when I've set an alarm in the past several years. Which is nice, I guess! lol
DeleteHello Nancy
ReplyDeleteI have an internal clock that wakes me at 6:30 everyday and I actually enjoy the alone time...most of the days. Good luck with your sale, we have moved eight times with my Sweeties job and I have to admit I have actually sat in the car dow the block when the house is being showed so I can see what is going on..silly I know.
Sending you hugs as you remember your Dad, I lost mine over 35 years ago when I was 20 and there is not a day that goes by I don't think of him.
Take care..
Wanda
Nice collages. I like the flower one. Makes me happy summer is around the corner.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, loved your beautiful flowers. Hibiscus is one of my favorites. I have a gorgeous one that blooms in July until frost. Your daddy sounds like he was an amazing guy! I sure do miss my sweet mother! Best of luck on selling your home. Not fun when a realtor shows up unexpected. Thanks so much for the visit to my blog!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
That collage of flowers is a great way to show the variety - I don't think it would ever be possible to see all of the types of flower there are. Nice post.

ReplyDeleteJenna
Love those morning walks to see the beautiful blooms:) It is a bit stressful to have to always be ready for visitors! I remember selling my house and things had to be ready to be viewed at all times! The surprise visits aren't fun, are they? Enjoy your day dear friend, BIG HUGS, prayers and blessings coming your way!
ReplyDeleteLove the collages Nancy!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure for me to visit with you, come rain or shine.
As for alarms of any kind...don't use 'em. I threw the alarms out when we retired and never regretted it. lol
Hope your day is perfect today.
Such beautiful flowers.I also love to take in the beauty around our property. Wow, talk about stress, Surprise visits from a Realtor and buyer. I hate that when it happens. Looks like you handled it well. Happy Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteSurprise showings are not a good thing. Love your beautifu collage. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me.
ReplyDeleteNancy, your flowers are lovely.. My only alarm is my clock radio to wake me in the morning for work..
ReplyDeleteI wish you well with house, realtor and a buyer.. Enjoy your week ahead!
Your blossoms are beautiful and that peak at the pool? looks heavenly!
