I love old family photographs, this one is from my father's side of the family. I have this photograph sitting in a guest room and since this photograph was taken on a Sunday, decided I would share this one with you today. I cherish this photograph.

"On My Goodness" this is the BEST PHOTO EVER!!! I wish my family would have organized a picture like this. I bet most families don't have such a picture especially all in one... AND WHO are the "Wee Ones"???

What a delightful old photo - the clothes, the hairstyles and the expressions on the faces - from the apprehension of the great-greats, to the half smiles of the greats to the more relaxed look of the next generation. It's a treasure!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to have family photographs from previous generations! This is one blog that I visit often that sometimes posts photos and some of the best stories about her relatives. I love reading the stories and imagining the lives they led.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. A real treasure. Like Pondside, I love seeing the clothes and hair...

How special ! I can understand why you cherish it.
ReplyDeleteI love old photos too. I wanted to ask you if you knew why people usually had serious faces in old photos. Were their teeth bad (lol) or was there some other reason for non-smiling. Let me know if you know!
ReplyDeleteLovely Nancy! Don't you love they're dressed? Lucky you to have this piece of history:)
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful you have this photo Nancy. Love those frocks! hugs♥olive
