I've been away from blog land for a bit, I missed my blogging friends.
Anyhoo, I am back and have something new I'm going to try.
Picked up this little book at Barnes and Noble, literally jumped out at me - had no choice.
Down the Yoga path. Humm..
One 15- minute routine for a life time of health and wellness.
15 minutes, sounds good.
First chapter. Breathing and Extra Attention.
I'll let you all know how well I breath and pay attention.
I'll be sipping my cup of coffee first.
I'll see how my body reacts, after I listen to my body.
I am excited about waking up tomorrow morning, on the mindful side of the bed and for a
Morning Cup of Yoga!
Stay tuned.
Yoga fan?
Yes? No?
(It re-posted this evening, I have no earthly idea why!)

Welcome back, Nancy! I'll be interested to see how you like Yoga. 15 minutes should be just about enough time to see if you are going to like it or not. Keep us posted! Diana

I do yoga every once in awhile ate the gym and it's a wonderful way to stay flexible. First thing in the morning, uh, not for me. I hate exercising by myself.
ReplyDeleteGlad to "hear" your smiling face. In my younger years, I could do some yoga...nowadays I don't bend so well!

I've done yoga once or twice. I'm remembering how much more flexible it made me. I definitely need to do something. Thanks for sharing. I'll be thinking of you in the lotus position!
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting, Nancy.

Hey, Nancy. I've been missing from blogland, too, and am enjoying catching up with my blog buddies. I started a gentle yoga class in February and am loving it. I have to say, when I was younger, I had no interest in yoga... now, I need it! LOL! The stretching really helps loosen up my stiffness! Can't wait to hear what you think!
ReplyDeleteLove your new Header! I did some yoga 30 years ago and was flexible then but now I do not know! hugs♥olive

ReplyDeleteNancy, I have not taken any yoga classes, but I know it is very good for you. My mom used to do it and loved it, but she can't do it anymore after she had hip replacement surgery. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteAs busy as you are, Nancy... I can't imagine you needing exercise. But I know too that yogu is a different sort of cat. Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

I love Yoga. I practice yoga several times per week. I'm 51 years old. My advice. Only do what feels good. Unlike other forms of exercise, yoga is supposed feel good.
ReplyDeleteOh this sounds like fun! So glard you are back ;0)
ReplyDeleteSo, do you do coffee then yoga or yoga then coffee? I've tried yoga and coffee...right now the coffee is winning. I'm thinking it's time for yoga again, tho...soon as I wrap my mind around the idea of wrapping my leg around my mind! Yikes....that may take awhile!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read more about your yoga book.
ReplyDeleteI have been doing it 3-4 times a week. I alternate it with weights and do it after my morning walk. I do about 20 minutes of yoga--a 5 minute yoga warm up, 12 miutes of yoga, with a 5 minute yoga cool down. It has really helped me in the stretching of muscles and it is relaxing. I can touch my toes without bending my knees for the first time in about 20 years!
