When I woke up this morning, I could hear the birds chirping away! I knew I would be out to greet them soon. I "had" to wake up right then! Yes, it was so early, but you know, my blog was calling!
There's a party to go to today! Over at Tootsie's!
All of these parties, goodness, they keep busy and quite happy! It does cause me not to like laundry, cooking, cleaning, bookkeeping, name it...
Blog addictions, it simply happens, you know?
Maybe there should be therapy sessions started each week! Now that would be funny... I can hear that dialogue in my head and don't think I want to go there now.

Back to my yard and my photography addiction.
Since I am heading over to Tootsie's for her Fertilizer Friday Party! First I have to head outside with my trusty camera and take some photographs. But first, I have to wait for my coffee, it's about ready. That's another addiction.
(Why can't I be addicted to exercise?)
Now, I am heading out. You'll see what a good
rain and fertilizer
does to a yard in our neck of the woods!

Heading out the back door to our back yard now. Come along and take a look, it's not always this green! It's still June!

Well, I am finished with my tour around my yard, it's getting hot! Let's go inside.
I bought some flowers at the grocery store, they are just so pretty and since they are, I'll take a photograph of them too! I cut them and put them in a nice clear vase and now I'll be happy to have something blooming indoors!
Oh, while I was at it, I took a few more standing alone, aren't they just stunning?
And one more....
It's my basil plant!
It's coming along and even smells like basil!
Don't know why I was so surprised, but
I have never grown an herb!
It's really exciting!
I would be overjoyed to know if you liked the tour!
Have a great weekend!
Nancy

what a beautiful peaceful yard you have. Just makes you want to pour a glass of lemonade and sit a spell :) Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteWonderful yard and such lovely flowers. Yep still green for now....I've lived in Texas remember! Beautiful photos Nancy!
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, I could visit your pretty gardens all day! Things are just starting to bloom here, I can't wait until my hydrangeas bloom, they are my favorite flower! I love all your pictures of your pretty bouquet and I know what you mean about the "ADDICTION" to both blogging and photography! I think you should start a weekly linky party where we can all share different stories about our particular addictions to blogging and what it means to us and also what it means we aren't able to do since we are so caught up in blog world! It would be fun to see what everyone shared. Thank you for visiting and leaving your sweet comment on my Garden Delight Table...it really brought me pleasure to design this table with the garden tool centerpiece! I like trying to do unique displays with flowers; however, I don't think the pictures captured the centerpiece as well as I wished. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteHugz,
Kim

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Nancy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post. Thank you so much for the tour of your garden. It poured cats and dogs here in MA last night so I have to wait a bit before I can go out to take any photos, most of the plants are flat on the ground. lol
Have a wonderful weekend.
Cathy
Hi Nancy, I loved strolling through your garden with you, (having my coffee too) :-) Hope you have a lovely weekend. It's gonna be a hot one here!
ReplyDeleteYou live in Austin too Nancy? I was thinking your views looked like the Hill Country (like I used to have in my prev house) and the style of house with your stucco columns? Yes, it's a hot one here, my allergies are playing up so I'm going to try and stay indoors... the mold is high and giving me headaches and sinus pain, no fun!

ReplyDeleteYour yard is beautiful, Nancy. Hard to believe I've only been there once. After all the many, many hours and days we spent together when we lived in the same town. Someday our lives will be a little less complicated and we can get together more often!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the well-wishes on our anniversary.
