Sweet and Just Too Cute~

I’m just crazy about little Tea Sets. This is one of my newest little treasures.

I collect them and one day they will belong to my granddaughters! Of course they’ll love them, of course they’ll love little flowered tea sets! Of course!

I love it framed. I love the sweet rose details.

It’s the little things.

A Heavenly Find~

Ahhh...I've another Tea Cup!

I think this little tea cup is exquisite...

Oh, the details are just so pretty!

A heavenly find!

She's looking mighty proud sitting in with my other little tea cups~
Thinks she's boss, could be...
 will wait and see!

A History of Teacups

While tea cups had been used in China since 220 AD or so, the tea cup as it is known today was not in common use in Europe until the early 1600s. Tea was sipped from small bowls. Since the ruling classes in Europe most often used silver or pewter, it was quickly obvious that a different vessel for drinking hot beverages must be developed or scorched fingers would hound the royal house.
Within a few years porcelain was being manufactured in Europe and cups with delicate handles were being created. The tea cup was born.
