Sprucing Up With Color~

I've just spruced up with a little color and it's still a work in progress...

With all the wood in our home, I want bright colors surrounding us-

I'm into Turquoise, Lime Green and Coral/Orange these days!!

Added some color to our leather sofa with Turquoise and Lime Green~

Added these flowers behind the sofa to draw in some of the turquoise in the
Cowboy Painting in the above photograph~

Turquoise Pottery on end table that is humpteen years old!
Character, right?

Close up of a few pillows~

Fresh flowers on the breakfast table
MacKenzie-Childs Place Mats

Fresh Flowers on the Bar.

Just thought I'd show you a very
Simple Tablescape~

Bought this container at Hobby Lobby-
Added the flowers-

Time Of Year...

Oh, I love how these precious flowers attract...

Hummingbirds and Butterflies~

I tried to get a great shot of them...did not happen!

I'll be working on getting a great shot today!

I'll be  dressed in Camouflage, my method of concealment!

Much Needed REDO!!!

Okay, I  had to do something to my utility/laundry room...

Because it is my office too!

STARK WHITE

White is great for a laundry room.
Looking at the washer and dryer was not very pleasing.

I needed to warm it up a bit!
Add a little interest to this white box space!

Wanted it to be...

MY SPACE!

Take a look~

BEFORE...

AFTER

Used my initials that were used at my 60th~
See the strip that is on my old sink, it's printed duck tape!!

Check out this mop doll I found, isn't she cute?
The box with sunflower is wine carrier! I opened the top and added sunflowers!

More photographs kids framed for my 60th~
The floral jug, found at Hobby Lobby.

I wanted a place to look up and see some treasures that  belonged to my precious daddy~
One of his many pair of
COWBOY BOOTS
One of his many...
COWBOY HATS
A photograph of him at the ranch.
The bluebonnets are in one of his coffee cups he had at at his law firm.
An angel to watch over him.
Dried yellow roses in the wire basket were from my 60th birthday party too.

 Up above my computer space~
I look up and see my family, up close and anytime!

The floral painting and white vase of flowers, I bought at an antique store!
The other things, Hobby Lobby~

I have all of my cookbooks in here too!

Remember the BIG 60 full of photographs for my 60th birthday?
Found a place for them!

SIX

ZERO!

Floral boxes on the right, I bought an an antique store, love them!
The blossom box with yellow tulips, I had in my sun room.
The boxes on the left were gift boxes- love them too!

Here's my desk, computer and printer...a bit messy...
But...
Now it's a little bit warmer and not just a utility room!

My SPACE
AND
My OFFICE!

I don't do laundry!!!

An Unforgettable Dinner with Friends...

Well...

Y'all should have been here for this dinner!
There were only four of us and I must say, we had plenty to eat.
Mr. Sweetie always cooks for an army.
He is not that crazy about leftovers unless it's steak.

(But sweetie there are only four of us, why do we need 12 pounds of beef?)

I got it!

Here is Mr. Sweetie and he is as happy as a lark.
His fun is about to begin.
Grilling makes him happy!
( He would have had his shirt tucked in, but guests were not here yet!)

Oh, he knows how to get things started~

He fires up his grill and gets the steaks seasoned.
Always perfect.
Ready for the grill~
To go along with the grilled steaks...
I prepare the sides.
Mashed potatoes topped with (lots) gooey cheese.
Had a lot little cream cheese
and green chilies mixed inside too.

Yummy!
(I took all the calories out, I'm just saying )

  Fresh snapped green beans...
Sauteed with sliced almonds, one of my favorite sides.
Pound Butter and a ton of garlic

Grilled Rib Eye Steaks...

Cheese stuffed jalapeno's wrapped in bacon!
Scrumptious!

 Simple Tossed Garden Salad
Added sliced avocado right before I added the dressing.
Then topped with croutons.

Sister Schubert yeast rolls.
(much better than homemade, well my homemade)

By the way, the only reason I have photographs of this dinner is because of our guests.
Ahem, well...

The female guest.
Well, she's my bossy very sweet friend!
Did I mention that she is
the author of the incredible and awesome blog
White Spray Paint?
Well, all I could hear and all evening long.

"Oh Nancy, get your camera, get your camera!"
"You must blog about this!"

( Here are a few glimpses of the table decor)

See my our resident and very old Chicken?

Oh my, okay, she does think she's a Rooster, don't ask. Long story!
Let me tell you, if there is a camera around, guess who shows up and struts right up?
Sssshhh...
Yes, the senile chick!
Gotta be nice...she's moody as can be and so I have to humor her!

Can you imagine?
Crazy, but true!

Okay, I'm finally blogging about our dinner
Miss White Spray Paint!

Unforgettable dinner and most photographed dinner!
She made me do it!
(Really, she is not too bossy.)

I just love her to bits and have for many, many years!
And what a writer!
Check out her blog, it's truly amazing!

Have a great day and weekend!
