Table For One...

I am joining Marty at Table Top Tuesday @ A Stroll Thru Life, please join us!
http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/

I decided that I would just set a simple little table for one, I mean simple...nothing flamboyant!  It's such a perfect little spot to eat alone and quietly take in a little beauty from the outdoors.

Maybe I'll sit down and just have a little light lunch~ maybe I'll turn on my player piano and listen to a something classical or maybe a little light jazz~

What do you think I should have for lunch? I love light, easy and simply~

  2. Such a beautiful spot for one and a lovely view. I think Linda is right, chicken salad sounds good on a croissant and some fruit on the side.

Nancy, don't miss my giveaway for Lisa Leonard jewelry going on this week.

  7. I am a simple kinda gal! Love this simple but gorgeous setting! The view is awesome! I think you should have a chicken salad sandwich on wheat with grapes in it, pickles, chips and sweet tea! I'll be there shortly, hehe!

    Have a blessed day, hugs!

  8. Nancy, I love it. I should be setting a place setting for myself on the nights Hubby works. Those meals are lonely so I avoid the table....and I always eat more than I should if I'm watching TV.

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  9. Gorgeous. The vase with the beautiful tulips is so pretty and eye catching. YOur dishes are stunning. I LOVE the colors and the pattern. How about a little chicken salad sandwich and some really cold ice tea. That sound perfect to me. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

  10. Hi Nancy, What a wonderful setting for you to have lunch at! I hope you had just a wonderful little treat there for yourself! Looking down a bit on your blog I see your beautiful grandchildren! And your trip in 2005 to London pics were fabulous! I went to Europe in 2007 with my oldest daughter and three girlfriends and I agree, it was magical! We went to the Netherlands, Holland (oh, Kuekenhoff Gardens just must be the MOST beautiful gardens on the earth!) and then Belgium and Paris. I'm dying also to go back just as you are! Thanks for visiting my blog today and for your sweet comment on the rainbow cake! Suzie

  11. Hi Nancy
It was so nice to have you come and visit me. Your plates and table setting are lovely...very pretty pattern...and what a great view you have.

I knew immediately what I was going to suggest you have for lunchy and I was surprised because the first 2 comments I read from other bloggers were what I was going to say.

Today I made a chicken salad from left over chicken from last night. I made a yummy sandwich from it along with a side of coleslaw and pickles! Yum!

I wonder what you did have for lunch.
Hope its been a really good day!

  15. Nancy, I love your table for one. I love that idea too. When I'm alone the computer is my setting. Isn't that terrible? I'll try to learn from you. :)

  21. That's a sweet little table setting you have. I like light lunches, too. My newest addiction is tuna fish spread on top of Breton multi grain crackers, along with cucumber slices, carrots or raw green beans.

    Have a great Wednesday!

  24. If you set out one more of those beautiful table settings, I'll come eat lunch with you and I'll bring the food! How about we have a tasty tomato, mozzarella bufalo, basil salad with a sprinkling of balsamic vinegerette? And a tall glass of iced tea with mint. Then you can help me whine about how my little cottage by the sea is not coming along quickly enough — wah wah wah.
