I am so thrilled this morning! As I was taking a walk around my yard, there are little blooming plants that I truly thought were not going to make it! They showed me!! Aww...the faithful little beauties! My little beauties have to thrive since I give them minimal care, oh I do fertilize them, but they are truly the kind of plants that don't require me talking to them much!
They are simply beautiful! Let me share a few photographs with you. Oh, before I forget, I did plant some basil seeds and one has come up! I neglected then while I was away and one little faithful leaf showed up this morning, it's just awesome!
My first basil plant!
A few petunia blooms!
Faithful Lantana...takes the Texas heat so well.
Poor plant, can't remember it's name!
Want to take a guess?
My dear son just emailed to let me know that it is a pinta!
Thank you sweetie!

Society Garlic
Crape Myrtle Tree, can't wait for it to bloom!
Purple Lantana
Love this and it is a grass of some sort, I'll be looking it up to find it's name.
This little jewel just came up, I did not plant it, isn't it pretty?
Join in on the fun!

Oh so pretty and I love it when plants just show up! I need to plant some basil and a tomato plant.
ReplyDeleteI just love flowers. I wish I had them all year long. You have so many that I've never heard of. I guess they don't grown here in the Wisconsin cold...just have to enjoy yours.
ReplyDeletealoha,
ReplyDeleteyou have beautiful spring blooms coming out today, i love all the beautiful colors
thanks for sharing it today
color in motion!! I call that last one a buttercup. Mine is spreading like wildfire.
ReplyDeleteNancy, Your flowers are lovely! I especially like the lantana - it is so colorful.
ReplyDeleteAh! Now I know what Lantana looks like ... lovely. All your florals are giving you quite a show. Enjoy ...
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend.
TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
I guess that sweet flower that just showed up heard what a great yard you have to hang out in!
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do in Texas without lantana. Good thing your son e-mailed you...I thought that was Anthony Waterer Spirea. I would have been giving out the wrong info!

Nancy- isn't gardening fun.
ReplyDeleteI never new- too busy I guess.
Glad you're back!

I love your flowers, but there is nothing better than that first little sprout, poking through the ground. I posted our radishes sprouting last week, we were so proud! We are away from home this weekend and I can't wait to return tomorrow, give the garden a big drink of water and see if we have any new surprises poking through the ground!
ReplyDeleteDear Nancy - love your flowers - your garden must be beautiful. My favorite it the colorful petunia. I have a question to ask you - would you consider sending me your email address - mine is skcz at comcast dot net.
ReplyDeleteThanks.

Enjoyed walking "with you" this morning! It is interesting to see how some plants are SO different and others the same from zone to zone/state to state!
ReplyDeleteLooks like things are doing well; the only thing that didn't come back up for me was my lantana and I may have had the wrong kind!! I have lots of things blooming right now. Some time I will have to take pics!
ReplyDeleteI love lantana...but it doesn't do that great for me here...I even tried to winter some in the greenhouse and it didn't like me there either!!! haha your garden is lovely...thanks for playing this week!
ReplyDeleteFaithful flowers - faithful followers. Sandie
ReplyDeleteSweet little flowers in your garden doing what they are supposed to do! It's gettin really dry here on the southern coast and the weeds are starting to multiply. I really dislike pulling weeds! ick!

Such pretty flower photos! Some I knew but many are new to me. I like those hardy plants that thrive on neglect. It does take some time and error to learn just what works in your own neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteWe spent all day today doing yard work. I pressure washed and my husband mowed. We have both been working on weeding but still have a long way to go!
Everything looks happy! Love to find surprises (of the flower kind) around the yard!
